Does Win2k SP2 fix the AC-3/DTS passthrough problem?

I understand SP2 is suppose to fix the Digital passthrough on soundcards...suppose to...but I've heard that it actually doesn't.

I'm looking at the AOpen AW744Pro, which is a Yamaha YMF744 chipset based card with an optical output.

Any chance I'll get AC-3 passthrough in Win2K?

I have the a-trend harmony which is also a yamaha ymf-744 card. I havent installed sp2 yet but I get digital output out of spdif port.
No DD or DTS.
