The flavor could have changed. There isn't much, that I know of, that can grow on a 50% alcohol solution.

Good point, and it's 40% btw, I think all vodka is 40%.

You can get Vodka in 80, 90, and 100 proof

I stand corrected.

70 proof too for the flavored ones.. at least for Smirnoffs..

its fine. i have opened bottles of whiskey from 1968 that still taste great.

I have similar bottles of single malts. Very few liquors will go bad with time. Vodka isn't one of them. It's fine.

vodka is the purest of all liquors...after an incredible distillation process they are left with some very high octane stuff and add pure water to take it down 80 proof. throw it in a corner of the basement and when you want to drink it, wash the dust and mouse turds off the bottle.

Depending on the proof, would depend on the alcohol content. Proof number is twice the percentage of alcohol, so 80 proof = 40%, etc. 🙂

Oh yeah, and vodka never goes bad, as far as I know. The people that drink it, however........ 😉

Mice won't poop on a vodka bottle; it's a proven fact.

You're all wrong! Vodka goes bad the minute you buy it. I usually just wave as I pass by on the way to the single malt scotch.
I love single malt, but I love Vodka as well.
There was a time when I wouldn't touch anything but scotch, but I have matured since then.
Zyr vodka FTW. If you never tried it, I advise that you do. 🙂

Personally, I can't drink vodka. I've tried many different brands and formulations. ALL of them give me a nasty headache within an hour of the first drink. Fortunately, (or unfortunately) none of the other distilled spirits seem to do this...(or at least, not until the next day at worst)
