Does Verizon buy out cell phone contracts?

So I'm locked in with Sprint for another 10 months or so, and I just don't like it. Their customer support, billing, hidden charges, and voice quality have all gone downhill in the past 6 months. I don't want to pay them another $150+ for an ETF. Does Verizon buy out contracts?

Same boat here. Wife and I have 2 lines with Sprint, can't wait to go to Verizon. I think we have ~6 months left in our Sprint contract.
