It could, depends on if the driver marks it delivered, while he is getting organized the delivery of the packages to a certain area.

It should say Out For Delivery when it leaves the UPS buildings heading to you.

That means yo ugot a driver that'll just leave the package at the door if nobody is home. In fact, i think most UPS drivers just ring the doorbell and leave unless they ahve to get a signature.

He probably marked it delivered when he was loading his truck.

kelvrick: why would a driver scan a package delivered before he actually delivers it?

they have to manually scan the package with a diad to tell when it was delivered, and the computer logs the time, AFAIK. i'll have to ask my account rep how a diad works better tomorrow.

does it say DELIVERED: DR - PORCH or FRONT DOOR or something? you might have a loss claim on your hands

I have had them show delivered before they arrived, & then been there to take it out of the driver's hands when they rang the doorbell.

So it does happen.
