Does UPS deliver on the weekend?

Only if you pay for Saturday Delivery, or if they are super backed up. I have received packages from them on Saturday before.

What sucks is that if you order something on their more expensive 3 day select option, which means they only deliever on business days, they don't include saturday.

Most of their services don't include Sunday as a day, so if you get second day air, ordered on a Saturday you might not (read: probably won't.) get the package until Tuesday.

I believe the only service that will deliver on Sundays is same day and custom critical services, which you obviously pay an exorbant amount for.

I have never received a UPS ground package on the weekend. If I miss one on Friday, the next day they come is Monday.

Like has been said, UPS will deliver on Saturdays but only if you pay extra for the Saturday delivery option. Sundays typically....never.
USPS will deliver any day with an Express Mail service...........it'll be delivered even on holidays. We used it last Christmas for a couple of last-minute gifts that we wanted to be delivered on Christmas. Sent them on Christmas Eve, delivered on Christmas Day at noon.

What? UPS ONLY delivers air packages on Saturday if you pay the extra $10.00 fee. They will NEVER deliver ground packages on Saturday. They also deliver NO packages on Sunday except for their same day service, Sonic Air (expensive beyond belief).

Also your example is wrong. If you order something on Saturday and have it shipped 2nd day air you'll get in on Wednesday because UPS does not pick-up on weekends (not even air packages) so it would be picked up on Monday.
