No, it would need some low level changes to the hardware.
Even though Kepler was bigger change than anticipated the first 'true' change after Fermi in terms of new abilities has always been Maxwell.

This is also the reason why people expect things like shader model 6 to be out at the same time.

Nope. D3D FL 11_0. GK110 is still a Kepler part, so there are still some features required for 11_1 that are not present in the hardware.

And this is always a good reminder that with the introduction of D3D feature levels, the "DirectX" version a product supports is meaningless. Anyone who supports the minimum feature set necessary to be D3D FL 9_1 compliant is technically DirectX 11.1 complaint.

Yes Crysis 3 (new patch is comming) and Tomb Raider and more are comming thats why i have XFX 7970 DD GHz ED (that one is Perfect FX-797G-TDFC = http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Products/...-HD-7000/AMD-Radeon-HD-7970/FX-797G-TDFC.aspx

Not that it really matters, I'm just curious about these patches you mentioned. I understand Patch 1.2 is coming for Crysis 3. It that the one with DX11.1 content? And what of Tomb Raider? Got any links?
