Got to be a scam, I'm betting that it is. If it originates from Nigeria then it's probably one of those scams. More likely the person doesn't know you.

The only thing that bugs me about this is that many companies will use Corporate housing (corporate apartments) for their employees when shipping them off for extended stays. Someone in the company will usually deal with rental details and tell the employee where he/she will be staying.

It's a scam. There are a lot of rent scams around, search Google.

Don't even bother OP, it has scam written all over it.

It's a scam. My wife ran an ad on craigslist for a client of hers to rent out his house and she got a couple of those type of responses.

It's clearly a scam, there's lots of red flags.... but I don't quite know what the object of the scam is. What would he gain from having a name and addy, unless you provide other information to him (like bank account numbers etc).
