Does this sound like a hard drive problem?

  • Loud seeking/clicking noise from the hard drive
  • Windows wont load, but BIOS will (sometimes makes it to windows logo, other times not)
  • If windows DOES load, loud clicking locks up windows
  • Better chance of windows loading when HDD has sat for a while
 
Alright, just checking in with you guys before this new SSD arrives. It sounded absolutely like a hard drive failure to me, but if theres a chance I could save money (though i planned on getting ssd anyway :awe🙂 that would be pretty great.
