Does this site make your floppy do stuff?

<< <img src="file:///A:/colwarmsup.jpg" width="240" height="240"> >>

That's why. The page is attempting to load an image called "colwarmsup.jpg" from a floppy disk. A suprisingly common error by website authors. 🙂

EDIT: Highlighted important part of quote and added in-depth explanation.

<< d@mn...thought i was gonna find a good pr0n link!

I was going to post something exactly like that, but I figured I would cross a line 😛

gopunk, what Electrode said 🙂 And yes, my floppy drive started looking for a disk as well.

edit: Can't spell 🙁

<< hmmm, I'm gonna add that to my site

c drive or cdrom too?
>>

I wonder what would happen if you added <a href="file:///D:/autorun.inf "> or <a href="file:///D:/setup.exe "> to the coding and the visitor had a CD in their drive?

I for one would be annoyed, view source and send a letter to the webmaster telling them to cut that sh!t out. I abhor sites that do anything to my computer without specifically asking me (know I'm not a paranoid anti-cookie freak just music and all that crap...)

Thank you for your commentary. I was asking from a technical standpoint.
