I guess I should defend myself more...

if I remember correctly, my wife and I were trying to find someplace to eat for our anniversary that would be informal, not too expensive, and a place we did not normally frequent. Because we lived in baltimore at the time and the only Hooters in the area in downtown baltimore at the Inner harbor, she suggested we go there. I think it was a weeknight so our babysitter had limited time and i would have to work the next day. She suggested hooters. I'm pretty sure I DID get wings and I think my wife had a chicken sandwich (I remember this because I ALWAYS get wings at hooters and my wife more often than not gets a chicken sandwich at a grill-type restaurant)

I'm also pretty sure I was working as a contractor at the time and our budget was tight.

Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Hooters for a romantic anniversary dinner, but it worked for us at the time. To each his own. At this point, we have been married for over 11 years.

...and for the record, i still say they have the best wings.

I feel bad for all of you who think Hooters' wings are good. Maybe they have better wings in different locations, but the 2 i have been to were terrible.

On the other hand, why is it that so many women are uncomfortable with a restaurant chain whose waitresses wear shorts and tight t-shirts. It's really not that uncommon, revealing or flattering. Is it just the name that gets everyone riled up? I see women walking down the main street in town dressed in the same amount of clothing all summer, and noone is offended by that. Of course, I live in California; maybe things are different in other places.

Summary: Crappy food, not interesting

we had a good time.... i had grilled cheese and curly fries!

Update: We went to dinner tonight... we had a nice time, food was only ok, they made a fool out of my brother (but he had fun)! The girls working there were very nice, although i never understood why i didn't want to go in the first place. I guess when i was younger, i thought the girls there were a lot hotter (like "OMG i want to turn lesbian" hot). Not saying they were not cute, they were, but i was not uncomfortable at all. I got an application, but i would be a sh!tty waitress

I guess i will say... the food was not worth the money but it was fun.

Hooters Shooters! Only been to one Hooters (Seattle). Food was mediocre, waitresses were hot-ish. Wasn't what I expected.

My family would be fine with this

yeah.. nothin wrong with taking a family at all. i will say that now. :)

Unless the family likes to eat a decent meal, in which case Hooters is a horrible place to take the family and pretty much the main reason I wouldn't bother to go there.

Edit-Glad you had a good time though.
