Kind of been bugging me. The gist of the story is that someone is extorting people by almost killing them twice and then telling them next time they really will die.
I kind of remember this:
A guy is walking along a street and a car speeds straight at him, only to pull back at the last second. The driver then flips a card at him that says "you just got killed'.
Later on a guy is relaxing after work and drinking a cocktail. When he finishes it there's a skull and crossbones at the bottom of the glass, plus the word poison- you just got killed.
And I vaguely remember a later conversation to the effect of "We've killed you twice. The third time it will be for real."
Does that seem familiar to anyone? I'm pretty sure it's from a long time ago. I don't know why it popped into my head recently.
