The only thing I can see with this is something like in that movie with Arnold Schwarzeneger where he had to save all those people on Mars that people will need some sort of devices to get these implants out of them. Like criminals, for instance. Hopefully they won't implant them in the forebrain like they did in that movie! That would suck.
