Does this mean I didn't get the job?

Well I applied to a part time job and the manager called and left a message, saying I should call him back when I get the message. I called and one of the employee said that he wasn't in and that I should call back tomorrow. I called back the next day and another employee told me that they will call me back for a interview. Should I expect the call or should I call them back?

So hard to get a job these days. What do you guys do for a living now? What were your first job out of high school or in college?

Do not talk to other employees, ask to talk directly to the manager who sent you that message.

Call again until you can speak to the manager directly.

No, if you didn't get it, you'd get a call/message saying thanks but no thanks, or no call at all.

Job experience for me including pay:

High School Cafeteriea starting 6am-7:30 then all of lunch but last 10 minutes to eat. Minimum wage.

Summer after High School: Administrative Assistant charged with care of 5 different plantations with paid lunches, gas mileage, and having people 2-3 times your age treating you like the boss (cuzz you are). $15 an hour

Currently: Law office as the office bitch. I faxed out 4 resumes at 12 noon, got a call at 2 for an interview at 4. Got another call at 6 asking if I'm interested cuzz I got the job. Show up tomorrow at 10. Funny thing is I never even got a call/message back from the other resumes I faxed out. 7.25 an hour. Damn, that was a paycut.
