Does this MB support E5200?

Here is the motherboard spec (for IPIBL-LB) I found on HP's website.

Based on this spec, it does not support Core 2 Duo E5x00 or E7x00 CPUs. However, since this MB does support the latest E8x00, Q9xxx CPUs and 1333 FSB , can anyone confirm this? HP has not released any new BIOS update for this MB since 07/2008, do I have to wait for them to release a new BIOS to support a new line of CPUs?

I have a similar g31 hp motherboard for a compaq presario. I believe the cpu will work fine in your motherboard. Even if it posts as "unknown cpu" it should run at the default speed. Don't forget about the effect of Intel's "speedstep" program, which reduces the cpu speed by reducing the multiplier setting to 6x. Speedstep is good for saving energy.
