This is not an emotional response. He won't learn anything in jail. He won't do anything for society. He might get out eventually and cause more suffering if he serves a sentence and is subsequently freed. He might have children and pass on his violent tendencies to them. The drawbacks of allowing him to live outweigh the benefits. Let's kill him and move on to another problem.

^^^This. I'm against the death penalty, but I'm ok with defense being handled at the scene.

Let him live and suffer. For 100% guilty without ANY reasonable doubt, I believe torture should be legalized.

Put him in the city square and let citizens stab him/make him suffer.

Now that's a proper punishment for crime and you bet your ass this sort of thing wouldn't happen within few short years.

I have no interest in his suffering, and my opinion isn't based on whether it's a favor to him or not. Torturing him doesn't do anything positive and it wastes more of our time on him than necessary. He is a dead end. Kill him. Do it humanely and without malice, but do it.
 
I'm going to make the mistake of questioning the reasoning behind the attacker's strategy- why not just tie her up instead, if he only needs to keep her out of the way while searching for valuables? Especially considering she wasn't fighting back, the excessive beating just seems unnecessary.

Must have simply been drug fueled rage?

Without other people seeing the punishment/results and suffering......this will continue.
 
As a husband and father of 2 little children, it was hard for me to watch that.

If I were her husband, I would probably find a way to get the guy myself. I'd beat the living crap out of him then curb stomp him in the end and piss in his gaping mouth.

Jeesus this pisses me off.

Self defense. Approach guy, "hey I want my stuff back" and assuming he isn't a complete coward, I would expect the guy to come at me.
 
Can't watch the video, angry enough at the story. If there was ever a good reason to bring back medieval torture practices, this is it.
