Recently fired up my new system (first home build in my sig link). It's a VNF3-250 MOBO, with an Athlon 64 3000+ CPU. The BIOS and Speedfan say low-mid 40's (42-46) for temp (it was 52-54 before I actually used the Thermal paste that came with my Speeze HS/Fan). I haven't overclocked (not sure if I will) and that's just after installing a bunch of programs ranging from Nero to Office XP.
Does that sound right? I had the system on for a couple of hours, and the temp seemed like it actually went down from shortly after the initial boot (temp on boot was 47-48). I did set the BIOS to shut down at 65, just in case things get wacky. This is my first build, after all...
