Does this make sense? A local Computer store's site says that they sell 130nm 3000+ A64s...

I'm sure it must be a listing mess-up, since iirc Clawhammers haven't been made for quite some time...

At $196AUD they are a real bargain compared to the 3200+s at $255 AUD...
Just because the Clawhammer versions are old doesn't mean that stores (especially smaller ones) don't have brand-new stock lying around. They could have "found" some on a pallet in a corner of a stockroom or bought them from a distributor at a closeout price. It happens.

yeah, 939 is what i'm after :(

are you going to buy locally(pick up)?

probably. i really, really hate dealing with RMAs myself

if you didn't mind forking out for postage, have a look at WWW.ARC.COM.AU

I used to work there and they do really good warranty...and they sell 939 3000+ venice for $195

but if you can get a better deal locally, go for it(i would haggle a bit on that price if the 3000+ is a clawhammer)

have a look at the prices of the 939 cpu's....you may have to order through the queensland branches as some of the sydney branches are funny about interstate postage but damn they are cheap...they have reasonable warranty too.
