History with police. Hurting police. History priors to hitting cars and police.

I am fine with how the police did what they had to do.

The guys hands up already balled up with a rock in his fist.
I am sure the rock thrower was in special needs class as a young child or on drugs.

He wasn't throwing a rock at the time he was shot and killed.

If I was assaulting police, throwing rocks or otherwise, I would expect to be shot. Why is this even a discussion?

Because that's never been the criteria? And we don't know what throwback place you live in? Let me ask a question: if any assault on the police should be responded to with gunfire, can't they drop the mace and baton from the utility belt package? Seems like that would save some weight, which could be important since police in the U.S. have the one of the highest rates of obesity of any job category.
