Does this happen to anyone else?

I noticed that when I stand up quickly after sitting in front of my computer for a while I get dizzy for a few seconds and my vision gets really dark. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this normal? Thanks.
edit: lightheaded to be more precise.

Hhmm, I don't think it's ever happened to me. I think it's fairly normal to get dizzy when you stand up too fast, but the dark vision seems odd.

It's the same kind of dark vision you get when you're deprived of oxygen. I'm guessing it has something to do with blood rushing to your head.

last time I checked, it was fine. Maybe I should get it checked out.

When I stand up after sitting or lying for a long whille, I sometimes get dizzy and my body begins to convulse. I usually can control the convulsion if I try to make my hand and legs rigid.

This has been happening for a long long time so I guedd its not a big deal....

Get more iron in your diet. What you describe is basically a very transitory lack of oxygen in your brain. Iron will help you elevate your hemoglobin, which is what carries oxygen in your blood.

Low blood pressure?

Last time I checked, my blood pressure was almost perfect. I think that was a year ago, so it could have changed.
When you checked last and when you get up from the computer, your body's physiology can be and probably is very different.

It's low blood pressure.
