Does this exist?

Suppose i have an ide hard drive and an ide cdrom drive. I want to find an external enclosure that i can put both in kind of like a mobile storage unit but something that hooks up through usb. If not, is there any way to build one with say an extra 250w psu and a wooden/ sheet metal enclosure?

Here's one for IDE drives, and one for SATA drives.

If you end up going with your own creation. You can put a usb hub inside of it. That way you'll only have one wire coming off of it.

You could just get a couple 5.25" external usb2 drive enclosures and that would hold a hdd or cdrom

Why re-invent the wheel? Get two identical USB external enclosures, screw them together, and then drill a hole to ran power wires from one to the other. In this case you only need one power supply for both.
