Does this audio splitter exist?

What I need is this in a 2.5 mm version (and in the U.S).

I have looked quite a bit, but have not been able to find it.

Any help would be great!

I thought the same thing. I stopped there on the way home tonight, but came up empty. they did not even have one on the website.

that doesn't match the first picture you posted.

You're right - I just noticed that, too. I am tired. I need the reverse of that. I guess I will have to start over.

For a long time, I've thought I could use one of these. I didn't realize it's difficult to find.

(I would like to have two computers connected to one set of speakers.)

I don't think they should call it a splitter (which is the converse). I believe multiplexer is more appropriate?

This turned out to be a decent excuse to register, instead of lurking for all eternity.

This is actually quite simple to do. Buy a normal Y-splitter, M-2F. Buy a F-F inline coupler and attach to M end of splitter. Plug the newly formed F end into the M connector from your speakers. Buy 2 M-M stereo audio cables of desired length. Plug each cable into soundcard and splitter. Voila.

They make 6.35mm to 2.5mm adapters. Just buy the cable in your link and a set of each of the proper plug adapters.

Not bad but that's about 3 times the cost and not exactly elegant. 😉

The problem is that is a F stereo to 2M mono splitter. Not the best for music and gaming.

It can't be 3 times the cost of an item that doesn't seem to exist 😉 I doubt that the cabling scheme of most computer setups is very elegant.😀

Welcome Oceanas!

We need more useful people around here. 😉

This is actually for a mobile phone set-up in my car, not for my home stereo or gaming, so it does need to be somewhat "elegant" and not bulky.
