What if you had the XBOX hdtv and ran it through the tv tuner to work on a monitor, how does that look?

I've done that before. Might not look the best, but I had no problems playing using that setup.

Don't think that would be a good plan.

Why not... I have no TV in college 🙁.

I dunno, I haven't heard that much in the way of good when it comes to TV Tuners. I mean they're convenient and all, but as far as quality goes, I hear it's not the best. Whatever floats your boat man.

The Dreamcast, when hooked to a VGA box, would output in VGA mode which made it look much better.

I believe all the VGA boxes for PS2 and XBOX just convert the signal into VGA by line doubling, etc. So, you don't get an increase in picture, just the ability to hook it to a monitor.

thats correct for all vga boxes except x2vga or x2vga+ for the XBOX. check out X2VGA for more info. Basically, it allows you to see 720P, 1080i, 480P, etc, on your monitor.

I was thinking that might be the case. Thanks for the info.
