Does the world deserve a nuclear WW3 as punishment?

Could be a nice poll but not sure if it should be that formal. This is another long post but I had to deal with issues like collateral damage and other things.

So it's just my opinion which happens to not make crazy just because I believe it. That people and governments have been bad enough and done things horrible enough to deserve WW3. So that most of the world is wiped out as punishment. And so we can start over.

Which leads to the fact that today there are experts that say there would be some survivors of a nuclear war. That view didn't come from me. So the remaining few could rebuild the world. And maybe behave in ways that don't make them deserving of another wipe out. Unfortunately some of the survivors will probably not be innocent people. They may be ones that deserved to die. But hopefully most of them will be the innocents.

And of course there's the issue of collateral damage in WW3. You may say what about the innocent ones getting killed in the blasts. But hold on a minute, some governments went ahead with invasions of evil enemies knowing some innocent civilians would probably get killed in some of the bomb blasts. Again in some of the bomb blasts not necessarily all of them.

And you want quibble over the much higher collateral damage of WW3 because virtually all of the nuclear blasts will have collateral damage. We've already had a taste of nuke collateral damage. In two cities so far.

imo, the only people that consider this rational thought, are the type that believe some divine being actually flooded the planet in order to destroy and punish his creation, so that he could rebuild his creation in hopes that his creation plays nice again.

this is not something that typically rational people believe.

This.

Why anyone would ever get excited or think highly of some catastrophic world war is beyond the pale. If you (the OP) think they are rational thoughts, you might as well start hanging out with certain other "rational" members of the AT brigade.

Sure as long as Canada is left out of it. 😛

US and Russia will use Canada as the net over which they loft their volleys. How well do you trust missiles that still rely on giant floppy disks to function? :awe:

In high school I had a classmate that tried to claim that nuclear war was an undebateable positive. He seriously tried to argue that there's no argument against it as it would get rid of all suffering, and so he'd win any debate.

This kid also had his family go on vacation without him, which I think probably gives a good indication of how much people wanted him around.

The sad thing is our planet really only has one shot for a sentient species to be born and leave the planet. If we fail that mission and destroy ourselves, there won't be time for another intelligent species to form and take our place for another chance. The sun will cool too quickly and we have mined all the easily accessible fossil fuels / resources that facilitated the industrial revolution and the rare earth minerals that ushered in the electronic age. Furthermore we have squandered the easily mined uranium on weapons instead of energy or space travel and the clock is ticking on their half-life's as it is. We are the only shot for planet earth.

i just want to be in a big public place where i can see everyones faces when a big emp goes off. what ever happened to that big solar flare thing thats supposed to do that?

I'm surprised you didn't bring up fluoridation, the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face

Did any of those experts look like this?
