Currently I've got an 866mhz MicronPC P3 in my system, and my friend is willing to sell me his 1ghz P3 processsor for $90. (he won an Athlon 1.2ghz system)Can anyone tell me if the motherboard will support this chip? I've no experience in this department. Thanks.........

$90... what a deal!!
The S1854 is in fact the Tyan Trinity 400, which has both a Slot 1 and Socket 370 interface. It utilises the VIA Apollo Pro 133A chipset.
It will support a gigger ONLY if it has designation 99PON, take a look at the compatibility chart
here, and look at the Trinity 400. I would reccomend getting a hold of the latest BIOS upgrade though.
All of this said, at that price you may as well get a new board! :D
