Does the Tunderbird 1Ghz/Asus A7V require PC133 SDRAM?

If you already have PC100 RAM, you're fine, it just needs 100 Mhz RAM. However it also supports 133 Mhz RAM at full speed (and without any overclocking), and as the price difference between PC100 and PC133 is really low, everyone buys PC133 for the (barely noticable) higher speed.

The CPU runs at a 100Mhz DDR (200Mhz effective) bus.
You have your choice of running the RAM at 100 or 133Mhz, you get to pick.
Most people will choose 133 becuase it's a bit faster, but if you already have PC100 you can certainly use it.

And hell yeah try running it at 133Mhz, then pull it back to 100 if it's unstable.

My orignal sdram (66mhz spec) ran just fine at 100Mhz, and I know lots of PC100 RAM that runs happily at 133.

Do it, you can't hurt anything, if you have stability issues, just set it back to 100Mhz.
