Nope, not thru the ref driver there is a tweaked driver that unlocked the feature however, I've only known it existed dont know where to find it sorry.

My old Viper 770u supported AA of some kind through the standard Diamond drivers, but it's not supported in the refference drivers.

Lol, I was just going to come in and say 'it might do it, but it'll be awfully slow' but I think Robo said it perfectly :)

From what I know, TNT1&2 did support "Edge Anti-Aliasing" in older drivers; for sure in the orginal 1.XX series, but I believe it may have left out in the 2.XX series Dets and above. You will find this feature available in Nvidia reference drivers and some manufactures' driver sets, like Diamond.

This is not to be misunderstood as FSAA --- it's not nearly the same. Edge AA uses much less overhead to do it's job, although it's not nearly as effective as FSAA. But hey, if it can clear up the jaggies somewhat that's good. You may be able to mix and match up driver sets from 1.XX thru 5.XX, but 6.XX and higher must be left alone --- no go!

But as a final answer to the question --- TNT1&2 DO NOT/CANNOT SUPPORT FSAA ON THE CHIPSET! If you could find a way to trick the drivers into letting this option be available on a TNT, it would only FSAA in software mode, and speed would plummet into the single digits. I'm told that FSAA is a function of the T&L engine on the GPU, and since TNTs don't have T&L, we are left out!

I have to say this supergax you are a FOOL! Are you trying to misleading people?
RADEON have T&L and it is very powerful unlike viper II.

SuperGax?

1) The RAdeon has a T&L unit

2) The GeForce's T&L unit helps to do the math necessary for the supersampling

Sorry to disappoint you, but looky-looky here: NVidia TNT2 Datasheet
page 2: "-Anti-aliasing: full scene, order independent".
again, TNT2 Chipset datasheet.
So no, it's not a software feature, but I am still confused as what the hell is the difference between that FSAA and "newly-born- with-GeForce" one?

Deciphering...:)
1. That was to say that TNT2 does support FSAA on the chipset (see RajunCajun's message above).
2. It is not turning picture into a slideshow.

The second is the most confusing for me, because I know about the impact of the FSAA on a GeForce card performance. So obviously there is a catch, but so far nobody has clarified what it is and where. :)
There is one thing though that might be the key. In the new drivers it is possible to turn on "force FSAA for all applications", whereas in the old ones this feature is absent. It looks like an application has to "support" or know and use FSAA in some specific way or otherwise it does not work.
