Does the Tea Party want moderate Republicans to lose more than they want Republicans to win in the general election?

When the Tea Party goes after a Republican who has been in Congress awhile and is pretty much guaranteed of winning the General Election, do they care more about defeating them in the primary than they do about winning the election?

In other words, is the Tea Party willing to lose congressional seats by defeating sure win Republican incumbents in primaries who are too moderate, in their view?

Sure win seat holders that vote against America dont deserve to stay in office. We need term limits. I wish we had a no-confidence vote where we could vote the idiots out of office permanently.

The Tea People live in their own bubble. They think that their insane candidates are actually electable in a national election.

When their candidates lose, it's always the fault either of the Liberal Media or Election Fraud.

This or a Revolution is about the only answers at this point.

We already have term limits, but ignorant voters don't exercise the term limiting option - vote them out!

Taxed Enough Already!! that says it all.

I always thought that was somewhat rich considering that taxes are staggeringly low compared to past economic boom times. Reagan's recovery had higher CG and Income taxes by a stretch that would have most of the astroturf tea party types doing exorcist-style head spinning.

Fact is, many racists and idiots dominate the lower ranks of the so-called 'tea' party, and they are taken advantage of by huge fake grassroots organizations headed by types like the Koch bros, to support actions which are bad for basically everyone BUT the richest of the rich.

At the same time, you have similarly idiotic extremists on the far far left who don't seem to understand spending vs. revenue and the risks of running deficits indefinitely. To be sure, that's not only the fault of the left (hello unfunded wars and Medicare drug giveaway by Bush 2), but it's a component.

Real fixes are to raise taxes on the higher incomes (spare me the tiny violin argument that it's punishing success, or that someone won't want to make $500k vs. $200k because he'd have to pay 4% more taxes on the last $300k of that, what a fucking retarded position), and to lower spending. That's gonna mean hacking into military waste while not giving our servicemen and women the shaft, and that's gonna mean means testing on things like Medicare and Social Security. We should also do away with the cap on SS/Medicare taxes entirely. And at the same time place Capital Gains taxes back at the rates of years past. And a lot more to boot. Dropping the failed drug war, letting states have their own programs, and disbanding the DEA would be a step in the right direction. Elimianating the ATF, merging the CIA and DIA, eliminating DHS and giving that to the FBI's jurisdiction while freeing FEMA back up to it's own previous leadership structure, banning industry insiders from working for government oversight agencies specializing in those markets (hello, revolving door of corrupt aholes filling the FDA and so forth), capping government pay to the average income of that state's middle class. Etc. etc.

experience is a good teacher. Go ahead and raise taxes thru the roof and watch what happens. It's so easy to simply lay off and convert full time jobs to part time to pay for income confiscation. And it makes sense. Less discretionary income means less business as goods and services also go up to pay for income confiscation. So have at it. Let the culling begin.

Bachmann - Palin ticket in 2016, please!

I'm an atheist, but I would pray to God for that ticket in 2016. The Moron and the Dingbat together in one package for the presidential election.

The answer, of course, is to raise personal income taxes while dropping business taxes to much lower (or nonexistant) levels. But, apart from making sense, this also goes against some core democratic and republican beliefs and as such, will never happen.

I'm voting third party against Republicans that aren't on our side... So the obvious answer to your question, techs, is yes.

Picking the lesser of two evils is the same as losing the war just to win the battle. A single election is meaningless if the people assuming power are just as bad as the idiots being thrown out.

We want liberty, and neither of our two fascist parties will get us there. So the GOP must burn to be cleansed of the Neocons. You're welcomed to keep them, seeing as you love them so much.

Do you have a klan meeting to go to instead?

You bore me. I would say you have the debating skills of a box of rocks, but I hate to insult good rocks. Prove I am a racist. Quote one of my racist statements? Come on retard, surely you have learned how to use the search features on this site.

How about I say you hate Mexicans and think they are all lazy as well as Asians.. I would have exactly the same amount of evidence you have on me.

You're the one who told us to pretend that black people don't exist. You then ran away from that after everyone made fun of your racist statement.

Come on, you racist punk, let's see how you really feel about Mexicans and Asians, too. We already know that you hate black people. How far does your racism go?

Repeating the same thing over and over, thats a wonderful "debate" tactic
