Does the speed of a secure digital card make a difference in PDA's?

I'm looking to purchase a 1 gig SD memory card for my Axim X50v and have seen that there are different speed Secure Digital cards; standard (which i think is 4x), 32x and 60x.

Would my Axim X50v take advantage of anything greater than the standard speed card?

Not for playing back a movie or music, both use relatively low data rates.

Copying to the card might be faster, epseically if done on the PC with a card reader.
