Does the PSX 2 boot CD work?

I have downloaded a boot cd for my PSX 2 using eDonkey, but I would like to make it run, if it´s possible: what can I do? Burn these files into a CD and that´s all?
Help me, please.

Might want to wait a little while on the mod chip for a messiah clone to come out. Good mod chips are harp to come by at the moment.
 
I doubt that boot disk works.

You would still need a mod chip if you had a working boot disk.

Also I don't know about even getting a mod chip. You should see how many wires they need to solder in order to get it to work.

I know quite a few people who've fried their PS2's installing the messian/neo4 mod chip, and they're pretty good at soldering.
