Does the printer need to be MAC Compatible?

WTB: HP LaserJet 1010 for an office of 4 Windows PCs, and 2 MACs.

If the printer will be plugged into and shared from a Windows PC, can the MACs still print off it? Because the specs don't list the 1010 as being MAC compatible...

They should work if theres drivers for them. otherwise you can use a generic driver (Laserjet 8 if my memory serves me right) AND YOU COULD ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE PPD FILE of your printer. if you find a ppd file for your printer then its supported by mac. but it all depends on which os version you're using
