Does the old Morpheus still work?

I've been away from my rig since december. What's all this 'new Morpheus' stuff? Does the old (from december) still work or not?

yep the new one sucks big time it won't connect to anyone and when it does the speed is terrible like what i used to get with my 56k modem(i now have cable).

Dumb question but, why upgrade something that works and kill it? Is there any legal issues here?
Who decides if it is dead?
