Does the Mt. Dew in a 20oz bottle taste different than a 12oz can?

Yes, Mt. Dew tastes very different to me depending on the packaging. I much prefer it in a bottle over a can. However, with Vault I definitely prefer it in a can over a bottle.

For me Mt. Dew in bottle > all

Soda with too much carbonation in bottles usually tastes worse. I usually flatten out my soda if it's in a bottle. Not so much if it's in a can; usually I just swish it around and drink it.

Coca-Cola, made with real sugar, in a glass bottle.

MUCH better than the canned corn-syrup crap you buy up here.

Mt. Dew is disgusting either way. I bought a can because the other sodas in the machine were sold out. It tastes like I imagine battery acid would. What could possibly be appealing about the taste?

I prefer it out of the bottle. The best is a nice cold coke over ice in a glass.

BTW, I'm surprised this post has made it this far without some tool coming in here saying, "Soda? Pssshh! All I drink is water now!"

Not sure how you guys are tasting the can.
They spray the inside of the cans with varnish.
That might be what you are tasting.

They have an entirely different taste and often more carbonation. Not a bad taste, they're just not the same as the can/bottle.

I find that pop in bottles has way more carbonation that fountain drinks. I usually just drink fountain pop because I can get it downstairs for free, but when I get a bottle from the machine it's so much stronger and no where near as good.

But glass bottles are the best.
