Does the Korean word "jisook" have a meaning?

yes, korean names have meanings. well, they used to.

it depends on how traditional the parents who named the child is.

in order to find out what the name means, you have to find out what the chinese characters that make up the syllables of his name are.

there is a symbol pronounced "JI"

and there is one pronounced "Sook"


 
I know a korean woman with that last name. If you are still interested I'll ask her if it has a specific meaning next week when I see her again.

jisook is not a last name.

it is a given name.

JiSook Lee, JiSook Kim, etc.

of course koreans turn it around. Kim JiSook, Lee JiSook, etc.
 
That's true. Jisook is a given name and is commonly placed after last names like LeeTJ mentioned.

Also, I heard that it means Marble of Knowledge.. closest words in english. This info is from my friend who has the same name and lives in Korea.
