They are around but they are like those annoying little Chiwawa(spelling?) dogs that bark all the time, the are aggravating but you generally ignore them because you know they are not that dangerous and if they do decide to bite they get drop kicked across the room.
The last hurrah for the clan was the 60's. You still have some old bitter people around and probably some younger recruits and I am sure they still get together in the dark of the woods at night and burn crosses and talk real brave and they occasinaly have public rally's but when they do there are usally more people there that oppose them than support them. They sure do, up here in Soddy Daisy, TN. Not a big, public shindig, because ya know the clan has always been quiet and personal...But really, it's still up here...

There are hate groups in every state, they are not tightly organized. The web is another way for them to get the message out. But really, you have a better chance of walking out alive if you "accidentally" walk into their territories, than say, honking at some teenagers in Milwaukee. Or if you get lost in some part of LA.

I know that around Brenham, Navosota, Calvert, Snook is Klan country. take a drive out onto the country roads and you will see flag poles in front of peoples house with only the stars and bars flying. sure come could argue that the person flying the S&B is a stupid redneck and i am sure a few are, but most of them that do fly the S&B in that area are Klan.
