I intentionally put my video files on a 2nd HDD, a separate physical drive, in hopes of giving my 1st harddrive (with windows) a rest over night when the encoding happens. However, it does not appear that the Windows drive never slept.
With all the programs and codec and video files on a separate drive, shouldn't the Windows drive sleep? Or is there something that keeps it up. I thought the background processes would just stay in RAM and not affect the Windows drive.
