Does the GTX 560 support sound through HDMI?

I'm thinking about bringing my desktop to a friend's house and hooking it up to his large HDTV through HDMI to play some split-screen Serious Sam 3 co-op.

My question is, how can I handle the sound? I read somewhere that the nVidia GTX 560 can transmit both sound and video through the HDMI connection. Is this true? Is this what the "HD Audio" checkbox is for when installing nvidia drivers?

I don't wanna bring my case (large one) all the way over to my friend's house only to find out that there's no sound. Can anyone confirm that this works?

Yes it will work for sound.

That's exactly what that checkbox is for.

This ability was added in the GTX 260 and later cards, I believe.

For older cards, like my 9800 GT, you had to have an SPDIF header from the motherboard which would plug into the video card.

You also could not use DVI <--> HDMI adapters and get the audio portion.

In Windows 7, with the HDMI Audio Driver installed, you have to set the audio to output through this HDMI Audio Device, which should mention the display it's connected to. (Samsung, Sony, Visio, etc HDTV).
