serious question that I can't find a solid answer to:

Does distilled bottled water contain flouride?

(I don't want flouride in my drinking water)

I need to start selling canned air. No impurities, just plain clean air! Just imagine all the people walking around with the little bottles clipped to their belts. I could call it something cool like Aerofina.

Then after people get bored of breathing just the regular air, I could add flavors to it, I will rule the world with my air!

Compare the illness/death rate due to waterbourne diseases to any health risks due to proper chlorination. I'll risk the chlorine, thank you, make it a double.

Spaceball City's President Scrooge has already experimented with canned air.

Distilled bottled water does NOT contain flouride.

Distilled water does NOT contain ANYTHING. Period. It's kind of an ultra purified water that has no other chemicals, minerals, or any other contaminants.

it took me a few minutes to realize that the OP was trying to say "fluoride" and not "florida."

Not quite true. Distilled water as available from the grocery store still contains trace dissolved solids and dissolved organic compounds. To get closer to pure you need double distilled, deionized water which has to be made close to the time of use or it will pick up contaminants from its vessel.

I remember somebody said that their water pipes were made of Teflon so that the plumbing wouldn't leach particles into the ultra-pure H2O.

Depends. It's a local government thing, not federal.

Edit: Don't you people recieve annual water quality brochures?

I do believe it's the law here in Oregon....

After I graduate from college I'll probably buy some filter system. Not like Brita, something serious.

I don't need flouride in my water for my teeth. I can brush my own teeth.

The government has no business deciding what is beneficial for me and what is not.

It doesen't matter, the choice is a part of being "free".

It's different with something like chlorination because that is a necessary evil.. It is required for our water systems to work in most cases.

Fluoride is not. Too much can be a bad thing..

What if you're getting adequate fluoride in your diet? Ontop of toothpaste? Ontop of fluoridated water?

Shrug, just a thought.
