I have an XP 1800+ and the Gigabyte board coming from the AthlonXP giveaway, and I'm wondering what I should do with this board.
My current Setups
System 1Main Rig)
Soyo Dragon w/ Tbird 1.33 Ghz
System 2Backup/LAN rig)
Asus A7v w/ Duron 950Mhz
My Brothers system(My old crappy parts)
Procomp Bvk1a w/ Athlon K7 700Mhz(SLot A, Very unstable)
I'm pretty sure that the Gigabyte board can't compare with the dragon's features, so that will probably stay the way it is. I will prob trash the procomp, and give my brothers the asusm while maing the Gigabyte board the Lan rig. The big question is what to do with the CPU. If the Gigabyte board takes advantage of the XP's thermal diode, then I will probably leave it with that board, the extra security is nice in a LAN box as It will be lugged around a lot. Otherwise, I would want to stick it in my main rig and move the other Cpu's down the line. Does anyone have anything else to say about this board? Does it have any other interesting features? Gigabyte's website didn't say much about it.
