Does the DI-614+ have an unlink port?

Title says it all, Does the DLink DI-614+ have an uplink port? Or will I have to use a crossover cable to connect the router to another router? Also does anyone know where to get a long (50ft) cable for cheap? Thanks!

I have that same router in my LAN setup. I'm not quite sure exactly what you are asking. The uplink port you are talking about is the WAN port. That is where you plug in your cable/DSL modem. You won't need to run another router off that one. If you need more expansion, you can use a 10/100 hub.

Ok, I have an existing router with with a print server so I want to keep on using it. I just want to use the wireless router as an access point. So in order to do this you have to just connect the wireless router to the other router with the uplink port (with isn't the WAN port) or you have to use a crossover cable.

Since I don't currently have a crossover cable, I was hoping that there is an uplink port on this router but I can't find anything that would say that there is or is not one on it.

One way you could do it is to just use the wireless router and then hook the printer up to one of your computers and make it a network printer. Thats how the computers on my LAN use my printer. I'm just trying to help you simplify your network.

Just buy a switch and hook up both routers to it.

The 614+ got a auto mdi-mdx LAN ports that means it will automaticly change its mode. So just use a regular cable. But remember to change the IP adress of the 614+ so it would suit the subnet for the other router. Then you would need to shut off the DHCP server of the 614+. When this is done just hook them together.
