does the cpu fan make a difference?

I have an alpha pal6035 with a fan that is 21cfs. I heard I really need one that is around 28cfs. What is the real deal? Will it make a difference and how much? I am at 41 idle and 45-46 under load. Thanks
 
it'll perform a few degree's better wtih a more powerful fan, but if you're happy with what you've got, i wouldn't bother. THe higher CFM 60mm fans really get loud.
