Does the bios contain capability to read a keyboard input?

I would assume it does. Building a rig... I have a wireless KB and a standard... I'd assume I want to use the standared (wired) KB for installation and setup and then I'll be able to install my wireless type through the OS?

With a new mobo it prolly wont matter because new days they seem to support both PS/2 and USB. Where before if you had a USB keyboard you would be in trouble. There is no reason a wired or a wirelss would make a connection difference.

Agree with Synapse. It shouldn't make a difference unless your bios has to be manually set first to recognize USB devices during boot up.😎

I'm thinking like you.
Could you post the results...Thanks

Just built a computer using MSI Neo2 Platinum and a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse. Worked fine once I connected the keyboard to its transceiver unit which was plugged into the PS/2 port. Same for the wireless mouse.

I did keep a wired keyb/mouse handy just in case.... 😀
