Does the BB sync read/unread status of emails on the device back to gmail?

I remember the last time I got one i.e. the 8900 it didn't do it and I had to give it away. Has the situation changed now?

And also, can you save numbers as home, work or mobile or is it still just work? I know you can go into the contact properties copy and paste to a field but thats too much work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The native BB client doesn't do it, but you can download an enhanced gmail app that does.

as far as the second one, I have all sorts of fields on my tour...but I'm not exactly positive on what you're asking.

Yes. I've been thinking quite hard about getting the Google Nexus one lately.

get it. i just got mine last week, best phone i've ever had. as long as you live in a metro area with good t-mobile coverage, and can do without a hardware keyboard ( i thought i needed one, but i'm really fine with the on screen one)

I recall reading on engadget or similar that the next update to BBOS will finally have proper gmail syncing.

However, Android will always have the best gmail integration for obvious reasons.
