Does the availability of concreceptives promote promiscuous behavior?

Are there any studies that show that the avialbility of concreceptives leads to more people engaging in sexual activity? Do orginizations such as planned parenthood lead to an increase in sexual activity in that area? I don't believe it does, although I have no evidence to support that. In my mind people are going to have sex, with or without condoms. Planned parenthood only makes it safer.

What do you think about that new cervical cancer vaccine? Will the avialbility of that lead to more girls having sex? I didn't think cervical cancer was a huge deterrent, but then again, I don't have a cervix.

And even if it does?

OH NO PEOPLE ARE HAVING SEX OH GOD WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?!?!?!1

Newsflash: In spite of what fundamentalist religious nutcase puritans think, sex is a good thing, especially when done safely.

I don't see how you could come up with any type of accurate figure for this.
Of course you could poll like 1000 people and pass that off as fact like every other "study" I guess.

Good question. I think people are going to screw regardless... but yeah, give me some rubber boots for my johnny and I'll be much more willing to dip my donger.

Obviously people without condoms still screw like mad anyway though. How about all the VD epidemics in third world countries? Ah, that's just the media indoctrinating me with propaganda though, making me think that where I'm at is the best & safest, developing my eurocentricity even further. Those are really the places where milk & honey flow.

You could do a poll over a few years. you poll a high school in 2006 to get baseline data, you put condoms in every locker in 2007, and in 2008 you poll the saeme group of people and boom! Instant data.

See my second sentence. That really proves nothing.
The incredibly small data sets they use for these "studies" typically ignore any sort of social or economic demographic. Sure you could get some idea of how contraceptives correlates to sexual activity in a certain high school amongst teenage children, but what does that prove?
