Does the ASUS P5B Deluxe/Wifi have an external antenna?

Yes and no.

I just read that the wifi is on the USB bus. Would this limit bandwidth?

The USB bus is 480Mb/s to the ICH8 southbridge.

802.11g wireless caps at around 25Mb/s under the best of circumstances, so the USB bus will not limit bandwidth at all.

the external antena just sit on my desk, works well, no problems configuring the onboard wifi
unless u want N then u gotta buy a seperate card once they finalize the standard
