I been thinking about getting this case in black, of course i want the p180b for the few tweaks they made. And alot of sites that sell the case don't specify if its B or not..

It's the same case, as far as i know atleast. There is no difference to the insides other than the removal of the duct attachment thay had on the inside.

The new P180b is the model that comes in black, the old P180 comes in silver only. I'd guess that if it isn't specified as P180b it is the older silver model (which I own ;) ).

ok Thanks. i hope that's true, cuz I THINK... i saw a picture of the black still the old version. one way i know is that the front door, has a metal sheet for the p180b and the regular p180 doesn't have it..

if anyone can confirm any other way to verify what version, i'd be very grateful

I believe (pretty sure) they did away with the 38mm thick lower chamber fan and just went with a regular 25m thick fan for the newer version. The Outpost link lists the lower fan as a standard size so it should be the newer version.

even tho i should probably wait for a better deal. i'm just looking around at the moment.

I think thats a 180b.. I didn't think the 180 had the fan duct for the hard drive bay

No, the fan duct is also included for the regular 180.

Yeah, it was replaced with a regular tricool due to noise complaints. I noticed you were using zip ties to hold your Nexus to the upper drive bay for extra cooling for your video card. It's actually possible to hold the fan there by inserting the empty hard drive trays and using the metal clips on those trays to latch on the fan. Either way works but I just thought it was interesting how perfectly it works out. You can also email Antec support and they will send you the wire clips found on the P180b for free.
Thanks for the info on the fan clips, I have the "old" version and didn't know Antec would just give me a set of fan mounting clips if I e-mailed them. I removed the drive trays because they were not being used and were blocking airflow. I used Zip ties because my next project is to find some way to put a shim or something on the fan to make it blow more towards the NF4 chipset for better cooling and zipties would be pretty easy to adjust.

Where'd you get the tubing/sleeving that you used on the fan cables?

This is a link to the stuff I bought for the P180 case: FrozenCPU Universal PSU Sleeving Kit I did end up having to order extra sleeving to finish the psu and I also ordered some 1/8" sleeving for the case and fan leads.

but I have a different kit on order for my boys case that may be just as good and a lot cheaper: UV-Green-cable-sleeving-kitThey have a lot of other sleeving kits at Jab-Tech also.
