Does Telekinesis really exist?

I've thought about this for as long as I can remember. Not totally outrageous stuff like levitating a car, but just something like; "Man, I left my beer on the table! I don't want to get up....*stretches out hand and beer floats across room into hand.*

I'd imagine that Telekinesis doesn't exist...but who knows? Wouldn't it be cool if it did?

They also had a machine that created whatever they thought which is even cooler but maybe sorta like telekinesis.

No, such a thing would violate half the known laws of physics.

While it is true that we have much to learn about the universe, we do understand some basic points. Such an ability would directly violate many of them.

I really hate that F***ed up looser John Edwards from Crossing Over... the only thing crossing over is money from your wallet to his.
On one hand I can't believe that people fall for that crap... on the other hand I kind of respect him because he has successfull fooled SOOO many people... I just wish he would come out and admit that he's a fraud.

This is correct. I remember seeing a show about a guy that could rustle papers and stuff "telekinetically", and then he revealed that he was just able to exhale really hard without it looking like he was doing anything. Hell, I'd like to be able to do *that*.

conservation of energy laws have already been "violated" when scientists proved this year that the universe is expanding...

I don't think they proved anything. What they did show is that the Universe "appears" to be still expanding. We don't know if it will continue forever, or stop at some point. We also don't know what it is expanding into, a major variable that could effect the outcome in an unpredictable way.

None of that has anything to do with picking up a beer from across the room. :)
