Does steaming a lobster to death cause it pain?

What is verdict on this, does steaming them or boiling them to death cause them pain? Should I kill them quickly first with a knife before I place them into a searing hot steam.

Steaming a lobster to death causes acute deliciousness.

Edit: Im also calling you out on a troll post. 2/10

It's still an open question. But in general humans tend to underestimate the abilities of what they consider to be lesser animals. One example that comes to mind is the goldfish.

No, but they are plotting their revenge and they will pinch your fingers as soon as they get the chance. Let that be a warning to all lobster eaters!

You're comparing two completely different things, and thus, your point is moot.

again, who cares...

Some people do. Some people also cared when Hitler killed a bunch of jews. Then again, some people didn't. Does that make it any less significant?

People get all uppity when someone brutally harms an animal, such as a dog or cat. But a lobster? Who gives a fuck, right? Wrong.

But I'm sure it's still delicious.

LOL. When do you re-up your PETA membership? There is a pecking order in life. Species are not equal.

Invertebrates lack the portions of the nervous system required to feel pain.

Obviously they feel pain, otherwise they wouldn't be able to move away from things that are hurting them.

They're able to move around to find food, find mates, reproduce, fight other animals, etc. People need to wake up and realize that other animals do in fact have consciousness. Now that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be eaten, I'm no militant vegan.

I'm quite the opposite, really. I eat meat. I love meat; most of it is delicious. I almost never eat vegetables, though I probably should. I'm simply making a point.

Again, I'll reference my previous example. Nazi's thought other races were not equal. Does that justify things?

I'd slaughter a chicken to eat it. I'd slaughter a pig for some good bacon. But I make no allusions to the fact that I'm causing an animal pain, because I do understand the food chain. I'll eat whatever I want, despite how the animal feels. But again, I don't lie to myself to make me feel better about it.

Ban for trolling.

Either you should be banned for trolling, or if you're not trolling you should be banned for being so stupid as to compare jewish people to lobsters.

After baiting hundreds of shrimp for fishing they don't feel pain. You can shove a hook all the way up through their tail, into the thorax and out the bottom where their legs are. They don't really seem to care. They act normal even after that which is why they make good bait.

Use an induction cooktop. The intense flux neutralizes their (animal) magnetism and they die quickly without pain. 😉
