Does soda taste better out of a can or bottle?

it's not just ohio! all of the midwest and north US (except for the east coast), AND most of canada.

Even though I currently live and grew up in Ohio, I gladly took in soda when I moved to more cultured areas. It is weird being back here and not using "pop", but I stick to my guns. I don't drink the stuff and think of it more as "canned diabetes". My carbonic acid fix comes from seltzer water,

I prefer cans. Used to like bottled better, but they got scarce and cans were the next best thing, and I find the cans more consistent in taste.

Ughh waitress brought me a coke today at lunch. It was nearly transparent. I'm sure there is a steep learning curve associated with writing an order down and delivering food, but how do you not notice that you're basically bringing me club soda with some food coloring in it?

I wish coke and pepsi was transparent. The caramel coloring does nothing for me. It tastes the same. It isn't an issue with Sprite.

Glass > Aluminum > Plastic

Obviously.

Nailed it.

1: Well built, clean, and calibrated fountain.
2: Glass bottles.
3: Plastic bottles.
4: Aluminum cans.
5: Broken or out of calibration fountain.
6: Homemade soda.

Just reverse 3 & 4.

Pretty much.

Funny thing is the clear pop is slightly healthier. The process to make it dark actually can cause cancer, or something like that. I just remember reading something that it's not good for you. I mean, pop is not good for you in general, but the dark ones are worse.

I still like my Pepsi though.... but if they made it clear it probably would not bother me at all.
