Yes it does, but its only one factor including what its made of, the shape of it, and what you surround it with.

the bigger the size, the less work you have to do and can be more efficient.

compare the 80mm fans on an Alpha8045 to the smaller but faster fans on say a Globalwin. more air throughput for the 80mm slow fan than the fast spinning smaller ones. there are exceptions to the rule.

Size does promise better heat transfer off the cpu. But without the complimentary performance of heat sink + fan, you just have to use your VERY LONG Tounge to augment the heat removal :Q
