Does Sidebanding Help with Performance?

Is there a performance increase with sidebanding enabled? If so, where? Games or Business apps?
 
I've benched both UT and Q3 with sidebanding enabled and disabled (using the ASUS V6800 bios). It does not make any difference at all - and it does nothing for the geForces stuttering problems when the textures/color depth are turned up to high.
